PCA at the CNE: first congress for term 144

From 5 to 7 June, in the Ardèche, term 144 of Physique Chimie Avenir (PCA) took part in the CNE (Congrès National d’Été, the National Summer Congress). We sent a delegation of five people: our president, our treasurer and deputy treasurer, our project manager and our head of commercial development and communications. Three intense days combining training, strategic discussions and networking with junior enterprises from all over France.

Learning to sell AI: a turning point for PCA?

The key moment of the weekend for me was the training on selling AI services. Why? Because it’s a question PCA has been asking itself for a while: how do we position AI in our service catalog? We already do computer modeling and data processing, but AI (Machine Learning, Deep Learning) is not yet formalized as a service. This training explained how to promote this service in our context as the junior enterprise of an engineering school.

Treasury: better control to make better decisions

In parallel, our treasury team attended training dedicated to financial management and to mastering the tools — notably the tracking software we use at PCA.

The heart of it: meetings and conviviality

But beyond the formal training, it was above all a collaborative atmosphere. JEs from all over France, different models, different stories — and with every conversation, you learn how they do things.

“It was motivating to see what others are doing.”

There was an awards ceremony: best JE, best scientific study, best strategy study, best young JE. It was motivating to see what others are doing, and above all it makes us want to work hard to win a prize ourselves.

A big thank you to the CNJE for an unforgettable weekend.
